Industry / FITC: Judging Interactivity

I had the pleasure of judging a few categories for this year’s Flash In The Can (FITC), and I gotta say there was a ton of incredible work from some of the top shops in the world.

What attracts me to these events is the sense of community they incubate. For the most part the submissions and the submitting studios are all a dream to  communicate with. Having worked for many of the shops who submitted I can safely say that 90% of them are solid businesses built buy solid people. Of course there will always be an egotistical shop here and there that bullies it’s way to the top with money, but for the most part events like FITC are free of major advertising agencies, and truly give the coders and designers who are pushing the medium the credit they deserve. Another thing I like of course is knowing all the winners in advance!  Don’t forget to be sure to make your voice count in the People’s Choice Category

FITC has produced events over 30 events over the last 8 years with over 15,000 attendees through 18 cities around the world. From Flash to Motion Design, FLEX to AIR, Mobile and more, FITC events each stand as unique and exciting experiences that inspire, educate and challenge.
