Industry / App Review: Record Makers

March 29, 2010

If you know anything about me, you know I love the simplistic nature of a genius idea. When it comes to installing applications on my iPhone, sure I am pretty quick to go grab the newest of the new, and the flavor of the month… It is part of my job as Director of Interactive to do the required R&D and investigation of emerging technology. What really matters though, is how long that application lives on my iPhone before it becomes a bore and is deleted.

This app is one of my favorites, it combines the low barrier for entry that I like perfectly with the simple, yet beautiful content. Record Makers is a French independent label celebrating 10 years of activity. For the occasion, artists Mrzyk & Moriceau have created a surrealistic iPhone game in which you can create random art by swiping different parts of the drawing.

  • Make your own pictures combination by sliding the 3 different images
  • Save the created images for your iPhone background or send them to your friends
  • Enjoy an original theme music by Sebastien Tellier and Mr Oizo’s incredible game sounds.
